Embrace The Cold!

Because November is here and the days are getting shorter again, I feel its time to just send out this little piece on how you can actually enrich your winter experience by doing something a little crazy.


Icebathing!


I always liked to do things to challenge myself and push my comfort zone whenever possible.


If it invokes a feeling of 'wow thats crazy' in me I kinda gotta do it. Thats why my life has been never boring and actually made me grow in many aspects. Yeah so Icebathing was one of these things.


Last winter we went regularly into the lake on sundays in the early morning hours when noone was awake yet, in temperatures ranging from minus 1 to minus 12 degrees, which was the coldest.


It was pretty epic.


I only can recommend this highly to everybody, especially for people who struggle with some form of winterdepression and who have problems with the darker parts of the year.


The idea is to face the cold of this time of the year and actually welcome it by going into the water in nature, instead of running through winter trying to avoid the cold. The idea is to surrender to it, instead of resisting it and thereby completely changing your experience of the cold.


It is a very cleansing and powerful thing to do which will positively affect your mood and help you embrace winter on a deep physical and even spiritual level!


Go and find some friends who are crazy enough to do it, meet in the early morning hours and go together into the lake for a minute or two and notice the postive changes in your life!
